What is this Place?
Midnight Echoes is the personal blog of Stan Kramer (that’s me). Its a place for me to offer my opinions on gaming and geek culture as well as discuss the various projects I am working on.
A Little Bit About Stan
I’m a fledgling game designer/writer/artist and comic writer. Besides writing I enjoy graphic designing, and (to a lesser extent) drawing. I love video games. I like playing tennis (even though my carefully crafted figure would suggest otherwise). I have a love/hate relationship with comics (I LOVE the medium and it’s potential, kind of hate the current state of the industry though). I love watching football. My work can be easily identified by the inclusion of lesbians and cats. Or lesbians that like cats. Or the goddamn Batman. Or some combination of the three. Hmm, that gives me an idea.
What Stan’s Up To
- I’m a co-founder of Just Play A Game Studios. We make video games! My duties at JPAG Studios, besides all the co-founder stuff, are being the Art Team Lead, a Game and Level Designer, as well as the webmaster. We’re well into our first project, coming sometime in 2011 to Windows and XBox Live Indie Games.
- I’m also hard at work on Void Domain eM, my comic project. It’s a science fiction series staring a duo of data thieves on early 22nd century Mars. It’ll be a quirky series that explores such fun topics as the nature of personal freedom, plutocracy, right and wrong versus the law, the ramifications of humanity losing Earth, among other stuff. It will be distributed under JPAG Studios’ comic label weekly for free on voiddomainem.com. Looking to try to get it up and running by the fall of 2011.
